How big can you print it?

Standard frame sizes, turned to match the artwork. "Crops" is how much of the picture you lose filling that frame edge to edge — or keep it all and let a mat take up the difference.

The ticket

Landscape at Saint-Ouen is a painting by Georges Seurat (French, Paris 1859–1891 Paris), dated 1878 or 1879. Oil on wood, mounted on wood. Size on the museum record: Overall 6 7/8 x 10 3/8 in. (17.5 x 26.4 cm); painted surface 6 5/8 x 10 in. (16.8 x 25.4 cm). The Metropolitan Museum of Art holds it in its European Paintings collection — Gift of Bernice Richard, 1980.

The Met released its scan under CC0, which means no permission, no fee and no credit line required. That file is 4,000 × 2,721 pixels — 10.9 megapixels — good for a gallery-sharp print up to 13.3 × 9.1 in. That is bigger than the painting itself, which measures about 10.4 × 6.9 in — the file holds more detail than you can see standing in front of the original.Paintings reproduce best on matte paper. Gloss throws glare across exactly the brushwork you came for, and a picture light does more for a print than any upgrade in paper.
