The ticket

The Earth Spider Conjures Up Demons is a woodblock print by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (Japanese, 1797–1861), dated 1843. Woodblock print (triptych). Held by British Museum, London; the free scan comes from Wikimedia Commons.

A sick warlord lies in bed in the corner while a crowd of demons and monsters, drawn with a lot of imagination, parade around the room. Kuniyoshi made it in 1843, in the middle of a crackdown on luxury and gossip, and the public widely read it as a coded satire of the shogunate. Whether that was intended is still debated. It is one of the great yokai prints and a favourite for a gaming room.

The work is in the public domain, which means no permission, no fee and no credit line required. That file is 1,542 × 728 pixels — 1.1 megapixels — good for a gallery-sharp print up to 5.1 × 2.4 in. Woodblock prints were made to be printed again and again — a reproduction is in keeping with the whole point of the thing. Keep the paper tone warm. A printer that bleaches the ground to white-white flattens it into clip art.
