The story
Hokusai made this as a woodblock print, a work designed to be reproduced. The boats, the claw-shaped wave and the small Fuji in the distance still read clearly from across a room.
Do not get the one with the neon gradient. Get the one with the Prussian blue intact and the paper tone left slightly warm — the white-white reproductions kill it.
It handles a hallway better than almost anything else, because it reads from ten feet away and it rewards you at ten inches.
